That is how I got started with Linux, it's a great way to test out a computer,
Ubuntu is probably the version of Linux that works on the most computers,
but not all versions of Linux work on all computers especially older computers.
So this is a great way to see how it's going to work on your computer without making any changes to your computer.

I used the USB boot method on several computers and really liked it, so I made a few that would dual boot Linux and Windows,
that way you can go back to windows any time you want when the computer boots.
The only thing I had problems with using Linux is the printer drivers, Windows has printer drivers for every printer out there, but Linux only has drivers for a small selection of printers,

I figured out a work around for not having a printer driver and now I only have Linux Ubuntu on my computer, I like the way it works much better than windows,

If you have an older computer then Ubuntu may not be your best choice, I would try Lubuntu first and see how that works, it is faster than Ubuntu and works on most older computers. Then there are many other older versions of Linux that work on many older computers, but the main problem I have with them is that that usually run some older version of FireFox and they are no longer updated,
and when your on the internet it's nice to have a newer browser version many things just work better.

So I would highly recommend trying Linux and seeing how it works for you.

You can install DVDFab AIO on a flash drive and run it from there, I have used the trial version to mess around with some pornos to some success. Trial version leaves a watermark

There is a chance that the internal motherboard for your external drive is starting to die. I recommend you get another USB External Hard Drive caddie from your local high street computer retailer, take the hard drive out of your external hard drive and install in your new USB external hard drive caddie. That should fix your problem.

I dont recall specifics, but I believe some of the WD models can NOT be removed from the case.

For clarity, you can actually remove the drive from the case, but the controller and HDD are keyed. So the drive is unuseable after its removed.

DPOD if you had to wait 3 years to receive a shiny new Commodore then I think prices would go up considerably.

Funny thing, this supply and demand eh??

Your camera has an SD memory card so you can take the card out and plug it into a card reader Woolies will have one cheap then plug that into the USB port and get your photos off from there.
