You can have a body of water,
and water can stand still or run,
but water does not usually flip??
A politician can run
for election.

I have two bodies, joined as one;
Watch this trick: I'll flip, stand still, and run.
What am I?
I still own you the answer. It's an hoursglass.

Perhaps a 100 hourglass would have helped...then again, it's a riddle to me.

When it comes in,
From sea to shore,
Twenty paces you'll see,
No less, no more.

That had helped a lot, I am a fan of his work.
The answer is... FOG.

Yep. It's a long time ago. I watched the movie with a friend and had to drive back home through thick fog. Not funny

That must have been rather weird...almost like you were still involved with the film. Scary.
We don't get much fog in my neck of the woods. Foggy people?...that is another matter

Ready for the next riddle?
Here it comes.
What comes once in a minute,
twice in a moment,
but never in a thousand years?
