US VS Canada
Depending on the state, one thing you may be able to do in the U.S. that you can’t do in Canada is walk around with a gun. See this photo below?

US VS Canada
Depending on the state, one thing you may be able to do in the U.S. that you can’t do in Canada is walk around with a gun. Picture...It’s of a man who walked into the Atlanta airport — the busiest in the U.S. — in 2015 with a loaded AR-15. He broke no laws. In Canada, he would have been arrested and charged, and probably would have had his guns and gun licence stripped from him.

If you asked most or many Canadians...not farmers, hunters or law enforcement people.
1) Do you have a gun - pistol or rifle .....Ans...probably no
2) Do you know someone..friends ..family that has a gun?....NO?
3) Have you ever held or fired a real gun with live ammo...NO? (not including an Arcade)
4) Do you have need of a gun at this time? ...NO?
5) Are Americans Gun Crazy? YES...and WHY?

How does Canada take advantage of the United States?

How does Canada take advantage of the United States?

Fred Paul, Italian-Canadian-American putting in his two cents worth.
Updated Sep 7

Well…. it’s nice for Canadians to answer this question with the idea that Americans view Canadians in the same light as Canadians view Americans.

The sad fact of the matter is that on a whole Americans do not. They don’t know about Canada. 340 million souls stretched all over the US, Alaska and Hawaii. They don’t know where Ottawa is. Never mind that, they don’t know what Ottawa is. They don’t know 36 million. Not a clue.

This happened to me.

You really think Molsons would spend money on this “I Am Canadian” series of commercials on fake info?

Maple syrup, French Canadian lumberjacks, hockey players, and the odd joker (comedian).

They think they won the War of 1812. They think all the colonies in North America separated from GB after the American War of Independence. They believe it was a revolution. They believe they won the First World War on their own and that the Second World War was a repeat. No idea about the 27 million Russian(Soviet) lives that were lost to rip out the guts from the German military.

They think that Quebecers (francophones, Quebecois) are second class citizens.

They believe, trust me because I had an argument with an ex-American serviceman, that Canada manufactures cheap weapon system parts and the US would be better off making their own. All of it. Including NATO’s share.

They don’t know Canada is a NATO member.

They don’t believe that Canada has an industrial base.

They do believe that Canada is cold…. really cold, 11 months of the year.

They think Canadians pay taxes to the Queen.

They think our health care system is completely free and it takes years to get an emergency operation.

They believe that any form of a social programme is communism.

They think we don’t have a military at all.

They think NORAD was their idea.

Santa Claus is American.

Trudeau is the President of Canada (I actually saw an American news article identifying Trudeau as such).

Quite a few believe they should invade Canada and make it the 51st state. This one is scary. Quite a few think this.

If you watch American Hollywood films you will get an idea…. like U571(2000), The Patriot(2000), Argo(2012). Americans can do no wrong (based on true events).

Americans will not view movies filmed in Canadian towns. The towns must show American mailboxes.

Most Americans couldn’t care less if Canada went tits up.

As far as they’re concerned (Trumpeters), Canada in on their welfare system and taking America for a ride.

The American border towns and cities are the exceptions. At least most of them. I hope. Maybe pray.

They have no conception that Canada provides oil and electric power in large quantities and at lower prices.

And that is the sad fact about most Americans today… including my stepdaughter, daughter and son. All in their twenties and thirties and all Americans. My stepson went to McGill. He’s one exception. My American wife is the other one.

Canadians do not take advantage of The United States…. just their ignorance.

J'espère vraiment que cette réponse est une blague. D'une certaine manière, je ne le pense pas.

I was curious how they decided to tell how happy the internet was,
what they said they did was pick happy and sad words and check how many times people on twitter used those words.
that actually seems like it would probably work pretty good.
Now we can tell how happy and how sad the internet is, what will they think of next?

Huey Pierce Long Jr.

Post by Webscout » Wed Mar 06, 2019 2:14 pm

Huey Pierce Long Jr. (August 30, 1893 – September 10, 1935), nicknamed "The Kingfish", was an American politician who served as the 40th governor of Louisiana - Assassination.
Carl Weiss, a physician from Baton Rouge, approached Long, and, according to the generally accepted version of events, shot him in the torso with a handgun from four feet (1.2 m) away. Long's bodyguards responded by firing at Weiss with their own pistols, killing him; an autopsy found that **Weiss had been shot more than sixty times by Long's bodyguards**. :oh: (They wanted to be sure?)

Richard Anthony Monsour (May 4, 1937 – March 16, 2019), known professionally as Dick Dale, was an American rock guitarist. He was a pioneer of surf music, drawing on Middle Eastern music scales and experimenting with reverberation. Dale was known as "The King of the Surf Guitar", which was the title given to his second studio album.

Dale worked closely with the manufacturer Fender to produce custom made amplifiers[1] including the first-ever 100-watt guitar amplifier.[2] He pushed the limits of electric amplification technology, helping to develop equipment that was capable of producing a louder guitar sound without sacrificing reliability.
