Avatars

Post by Dude » Fri Mar 30, 2018 9:59 am

During all the packing and moving to the new Utopia Headquarters,
the avatars and a few other non essential things were lost or misplaced.
or they got put on a truck to Alaska like my cousins luggage, but that's another story.

I know Hobby had a post about Loblaws price fixing that was lost in the shuffle, and there may have been one or two other posts that didn't make it,

But as of now the software is running very stable, and there are no planned changes that should impact the posts or Avatars for the foreseeable future,

the last software lasted about 12 years, so hopefully the new software will make it that long or longer.

I believe the Avatars are limited to 60x60 if you up load them to this site, and they can go to 100 x 100 if you host them at another site like I have done.
I hosted my avatar at Tiny Pic they seem to be pretty reliable.

You might find that after you have done the TinyPic bit...max 100x100 that your avatar gets an alert that it is still too large. Ignore that if you have successfully adjusted to 100x100. It may still indicate your original size if more than 100x100. Submit your avatar and it should be OK. As you can see from my avatar they do not come out 100x100. :?:

I didn't know that, I think I had to resize mine 3 times before it said it would work.
and I might have set both off site and on site to 100x100
