Favorite Image Hosting Site for 2019
Looking at the image hosting sites again,
most of the old ones are not working now.
Flickr works ok for image hosting,
it gives you 1000 pictures to store for free, you do have to sign up to use the site.
and you must sign in with a yahoo account.
the next best photo hosting site is 500px.com
it is pretty easy to sign up and upload pictures
Google Photos is a good site for storing photos, they are really good about keeping your stuff and not going out of business.
but it's not that easy to upload a photo and use it on another site.
Dropbox - it looks like this site will also work as a image hosting site, it's just a little bit of work to get the link, same as google.
Sites that sort of work
Here is an image I found from 2009 from imageshack.us that is still working, but you have to sign up for an account there.
tinypic.com - was bought by Photobucket.com and they are now deleting more pictures, but keeping some of the old ones.
this picture is from 2014 that's the oldest one I can find on our site, but I am pretty sure there are pictures older than that still working from this site.
It looks like for new pictures uploaded if they are not viewed for 90 days by anyone then they are deleted.
Photobucket.com - they give you 2.5 gigs for free but they mark all your pictures now.
they have been around the longest but all your pictures look like this

Many hosting sites re video are also making changes ie 1Fichier.
Other sites are disappearing. Some new ones appear iegood d/l speed and free. Premium avail at a cost. We will see how long this one and other newer entries last. Megaupload is still going strong. Retension of files is a concern for many uploaders who spend many hours uploading. Retension times are getting shorter. Bulk Storage is also being reduced ie 1Fichier

Looks like Dropbox is not working any more.
For posting here, Imgur.com works pretty good, you don't need to sign up or anything and you can easily upload a picture and get the link to it.

Thanks for the hint. Will take a look at it. Hope it's working for me.

There are a couple steps when using Imgur.com
but it's not hard
1. click on New Post
2. paste picture or link
3. click pull down in the upper right corner of the picture
4. click get share links
5. click on BBCode (forums)
that will copy the link to the picture so you can use it on the forum.

Tinypic went out of business so I am once again looking for a new site to host pictures
https://imgbox.com/
Imagebox seems to work and you can post pictures without an account. I will give them a try and see how it goes.

These are some of the best image sharing websites. Look I have one ello.co. This will let you store many photos.
