Rec Room - VR game

Post by Mrs Legolas » Tue Feb 27, 2018 3:10 pm

Hey everyone
Is there anyone out there who knows Rec Room (it's a VR game). I'm playing Rec Room since August, 2017. It's a very nice community. I met there some very nice guys all over the world. It would be nice to know who is playing this game. ;)

I got a Oculus Rift at the very end of their summer sale and one of the first things I did was to download all the free games they had in the Oculus store and try them out, when I tried Rec Room I ran the game and found myself in a room dressed as a little girl and I looked around then I went to a hallway and there were some other people yelling at me so I quit the game.
That was my first impression of the game and I could not see the point of it so I didn't play again for one or two months.
Then I read an online review of Rec Room and the person was saying how it was his favorite game and I thought that was really odd because it was one of my least favorite games, but he was talking about how you could do all these different things and meet people from all over the world and play soccer, dodge ball, paddle ball, and other games with them.
So I decided to give it another try and learn a little more about the game, and I soon had friends from all over the world, I was playing quests and really enjoying myself.
It turned out that Rec Room was so much fun that I stopped playing all the other games I bought and only played Rec Room.

Now I hear that they are going to have a new pirate quest soon where three people can work together as a team to try and make it to the end and find a pirates chest filled with pirate's booty.

Yes, once you find some activities you like and you develop a group of friends around those activities then it really makes other games some what obsolete.
I tried to go back to some of the games I used to enjoy playing but as soon as I would start playing I would also start thinking I could be playing Rec Room with my friends and I would quit and go to Rec Room to see what my friends were doing.
The social aspect really add a whole new layer to playing games online.
I think in the future almost all games will be social multi-player games.

I'm really no gamer. But this game is great. I love to meet people all over the world. While playing and meet my new friends it's a good moment to practice my english (thank you Dude  ;) ). I don't like games playing alone. It's boring. Three guys are living near us. So we invited them and met them face to face and it's not only virtual reality anymore.
It's a kind of spooky because I meet the VR guys more often than my other friends. Some of them have become friends. I stay in touch with them via telegram.
If you got a headset jump on Rec Room - it's for free. The developers of Rec Room are amazing. They are in touch with their players and listen their wishes and try to realize most of them. They are doing a very good job.

Very interesting I had not seen those dates before.

Where is Golden Trophy?
and Jumbotron?

I guess they were there when the game first started.
