Movie: Maudie

Post by Mrs Legolas » Wed Feb 14, 2018 1:46 am

Yesterday I watched a wonderful movie: Maudie

It's a true story about her life. I watched it in Germany in an arthouse movie theater. Don't know how you say to an arthouse movie theater. I'm glad to hear the saying :) I recommend this great movie! And don't forget a handkerchief.

Maybe you'd like to watch the trailer:

also, they call them art house theaters here too,
or some people call them
indie movies, Independent theaters, and we have film festivals
they all mean the same thing.
There are only 10 kinds of people in this world,
those that understand binary and those that don't.

Movie: Maudie

I just watched the movie Maudie, it is not my favorite type of movie I like science fiction better,
but I do like movies based on true stories which this one was,
and I appreciate the talent and the ability of the movie to pull you in and make you feel for the characters
even though it was very slow moving and there were lots of drawn out scenes,
it worked well as a movie and I did make it through the movie without getting bored,
which is saying a lot,
Very few movies can pull off this extremely slow pace and still turn out interesting to watch, and when you throw in that the subject matter is about two misfits who are so socially inept that it's just painful to see them interact with other people, I don't know how I was able to watch the whole movie, but I did and I was able to enjoy it.
There were some parts that seemed a little out of place, but over all the director did a great job of portraying these two people struggle through their lives.

Her husband Everett was killed when a burglar murdered him during an attempted robbery at the house in 1979.

(OMG - who would rob that house?)
