I am going to go check my change right now to see if I have any counterfeit pennies. :lol2:

if you had one of Homer, I bet you could sell it for .50 cents or maybe a dollar.

Norway overwhelmed by influx of 'Frozen effect' tourists

Norway overwhelmed by influx of 'Frozen effect' tourists

Saturday, February 11, 2017, 3:28 PM - Western Norway -- home to world-famous fjords -- recently cut its tourism budget for the summer of 2017 due to a surge in tourists that have overwhelmed its small towns.
Over the course of five years, the scenic cliff of Trolltunga (Troll tongue) has seen an increase in hikers from 1,000 to 100,000, The Telegraphreports, while Preikestolen (the Pulpit Rock pictured above) went from 60,000 visitors in 2009 to roughly 300,000 by 2016.
c/p--It's a long and beautiful hike to this amazing place but you must be prepared. standing on the rock is truly awesome but it's a long drop and you need to be sure footed and no fear of height. It's about a 10 hour round trip and there is no mobile reception. I went in September 2012 and got caught in a snow storm half way to he trolltunga. Fortunately I've been hiking in Scotland since I was a child and know how to deal with route finding in difficult conditions. This is a must do hike for those who are used to regular hiking and although not really technical challenging its very long and you need to know how to read a map and how to deal with the weather if it turn foul!

I just finished watching a TV series from Norway called Aquitted. Very scenic.

A Picture is worth $59 Million?

Post by Webscout » Sat Mar 04, 2017 7:07 am

Gustav Klimt’s Bauerngarten is a nice painting that would brighten up anyone’s living room. But $59-million (U.S.)? For a picture of some daisies and roses? Spurred by the third-highest price ever for an artwork sold in Europe
