The service I have is 12 Mbps,
for a small additional charge I can get 16 Mbps,
but I find that my connection is faster than most sites out there,
so the additional speed doesn't really do that much good.

yep, could never go back to dial-up, got 1.5/mbit down, and that's too slow for me (us old folks got no patience)

That's the thing with cable, it's shared with the neighborhood, so if all are down or uploading with max speed, it tends to get slow, but if noone is online, you will have more speed then ever, but FYI, cable is always 1.5 MB/s, but cuz of the sharing if fluctuates.

1.5 is ok if ur not a mass downloader...

8mg down here and happy with that, only get 7.6 out of my line though
